Colombia vs South Korea
Colombia vs South Korea
There are two
main elements that help determine the culture of a country: customs and
manners. Next, both aspects will be examined in detail and the differences that
exist between one country and another will be analyzed. That is to say, I will
talk about the behaviors of the community and what role they play in Colombian
and Korean culture. On the other hand, the history of Colombia will be observed
in order to know the origin of the great difference with South Korea. In
addition, other aspects related to education in each country will be addressed.
For that reason, the differences between Colombia and South korea in customs
and manners are impressive, and they justify rigorous examination.
The differences
between Colombia and South Korea have been very large for a long time. First of
all, the culture of South Korea in recent years has focused on maintaining
cordiality and respect towards each person and this is why South Korea has a
big difference compared to Colombia. On the other hand, Colombia, due to its
great cultural mixes with foreign people, has changed completely and people
have adapted to an informal culture where respect for people does not stand
out. Lately in Colombia people have opted for more appropriate ways to greet
you. This aspect is a factor that determines Colombian culture and that adapts
quickly among people. However, the same does not happen in South Korea because
Korean culture has maintained its customs and manners for a long time. In
addition people from South Korea opt for more assertive language and give
respect to each person. In consequence, Korean culture has manners and customs
that encourage each person to show respect for each person, even if it is
someone close to them, while in Colombia people choose to use different manners
and not necessarily promote cordiality.
Colombian
culture comes from a mixture of many communities with different customs and
manners. First of all, when Colombia
originated, the vast majority of people came from various African communities.
In addition people from different places have emigrated to Colombia for a long
time. Due to this, Colombian culture is in constant change, bringing with it
multiple manners and customs that little by little are adapting to the comunity.
Likewise, the behaviors of all these cultures have had a significant impact on
Colombian culture, playing a very important role where the origin of different
manners and customs are born that are still used in Colombia today and that
characterizes the culture. On the other hand, in Colombia, the educational
system is more diversified and decentralized, with a combination of public and
private schools. In South Korea, there is a culture of respect for education
and strong discipline in schools. In conclusion, the differences between
Colombia and South Korea are great and are evident so, we must understand that
these two nations are constantly evolving.
In summary, the cultural and social differences between Colombia and South Korea are compared, highlighting different important aspects. South Korea supports and sustains a culture of cordiality and respect, with traditional customs and assertive communication. On the other hand, Colombian culture is characterized by a mix of diverse influences that lead to more informal relationships, although recent trends show a shift towards adapting more respectful greeting methods. Colombian culture is different and is built by diverse communities that develop constant changes, which affect their uses, customs and education. In contrast, South Korea has a rigorous approach to education and a constant focus on respect within their social lives. These differences help us highlight the constant cultural change and the unique values of each country.
This blog has a fascinating comparison between Colombia and South Korea, focusing on the crucial elements that define the countries' culture such as customs. I find it very interesting not only because of the differences it indicates, but also because of how history and education have helped change these differences in ways unique to each country. On the other hand, I agree that we should reflect on how these cultural factors influence the country's identity and social interactions. I actually found what you mentioned very interesting and important.

ResponderEliminarIn my opinion, I really like your blog, just like you, I think it is very important to know in detail the customs and manners of a country since this determines its differences and similarities.
ResponderEliminarI think that South Korea, due to the wars it has gone through, is a very educated country, but this education is already taken to an extreme. First, I think that each person's opinion is very important in a society, and in South Korea the opinion of a young person is not very valid, for example in a school or at work. What do you think we should learn from the great cultural difference between South Korea and Colombia? Finally, did you know that in South Korea all people are one year older than in the rest of the world? This is because in South Korea they start counting the months and years from before the baby is born.
Juan, I consider that your opinion is important and valuable because it is interesting to know what kind of things difference us from others. I think that it is vital to talk about education system because however there were small differences that marks the life of a lot of people and you explained that pretty well. I do not disagree with you but I like to mention that in Colombia people also try to be friendly and kind with other people, I know that is not the same as Korea but we try.
ResponderEliminarI really consider that your opinion is given on an accurate way and your ideas were expressed correctly, I really notice those strongly differences that make us differences.
Finally, I would like you to ask; what kind of positive things can learn from culture from the other?
